Occupational Therapist Full-Time, FMLA Coverage 
Location: Rockford, IL 
Caseload: High School and Elementary Grade Levels
Dates: September 8, 2026 through January 8, 2027

A highly respected Special Education program is seeking dedicated and passionate Occupational Therapists to join their team for the upcoming school year. This cooperative partners with multiple districts to support students with diverse learning and developmental needs, offering a collaborative and well-supported environment for therapists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide occupational therapy service minutes aligned with student IEP goals
  • Conduct evaluations and contribute to eligibility determination meetings
  • Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and families
  • Maintain accurate and compliant documentation
  • Participate in team meetings and professional learning opportunities

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Active Illinois Occupational Therapist license and registration through IDFPR
  • School-based experience preferred, but not required. Pediatric experience preferred
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills are essential

  • Interviews: Initial interview conducted via Zoom. Possible second step/interview. 
  • New Staff Orientation: August 4, 2026
