Position Overview
Spotter Staffing is seeking a compassionate, collaborative, and student-centered School Social Worker to support a confidential charter school network serving students in the Chicago area for the 2026–2027 school year. Exact campus placement is still being finalized, but opportunities are expected throughout multiple Chicago locations.
This position is ideal for a Social Worker who is flexible, proactive, and passionate about supporting the academic, emotional, behavioral, and social success of students across diverse school environments.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling services to students
- Conduct social-developmental histories, assessments, and evaluations as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Support crisis intervention, behavior management, and student wellness initiatives
- Maintain consistent communication with families, school staff, and outside providers
- Assist in developing behavior intervention plans and social-emotional supports
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with district and state guidelines
- Support students with a wide range of needs, from mild to significant social-emotional and behavioral challenges
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Social Work required
- Illinois PEL with School Social Work endorsement required
- Previous school-based experience preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt to different school cultures, procedures, and team environments
- Comfortable potentially supporting more than one campus or program as needed
