Position Overview

Spotter Staffing is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services within a confidential partner educational program serving students with diverse communication needs. This role supports individuals with a wide range of abilities, including mild to significant developmental, cognitive, behavioral, and communication challenges.

The SLP will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, and deliver speech-language services that improve functional communication, social engagement, and academic participation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services to students in individual and group settings
  • Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals and therapy plans
  • Conduct evaluations and contribute to eligibility determinations
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, paraprofessionals, OTs, PTs, psychologists, and behavior staff
  • Provide staff coaching on communication strategies and language facilitation
  • Collect and maintain accurate data for progress monitoring and compliance
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional recommendations
  • Adapt therapy approaches based on student regulation, behavior, and readiness to learn

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid state SLP license (or eligibility for licensure)
  • ASHA CCC-SLP preferred or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligible
  • Experience or strong interest in pediatric or school-based populations
  • Comfort working with students with complex communication needs
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills

Preferred Skills

 

  • Background in special education settings or therapeutic school environments
  • Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, and multiple disabilities
  • Strong problem-solving and adaptability in dynamic environments
  • Ability to work across multiple teams or classroom settings
