Position Overview
Spotter Staffing is hiring a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time placement at an elementary school, near Wauconda, IL.
Start date: 10/14 (Tentative)
Schedule: 8:20 AM – 3:50 PM, Monday–Friday
Pay: Up to $70 an hour
Setting: Elementary School
Caseload
The IEP caseload starts at 26 students and will continue to grow as the school year progresses.
Work Environment
The SLP will have her own dedicated classroom/therapy space at the school – not a shared office or shared room.
Team & Support
The building has one other full-time (1.0 FTE) SLP, who will also serve as this SLP's mentor – someone on-site, in the same role, from day one.
Responsibilities
- Conduct speech/language evaluations and assessments to determine eligibility for services
- Write, implement, and monitor IEP goals for assigned caseload
- Provide direct therapy (individual and small group) per each student's IEP
- Collaborate with teachers, case managers, and parents on student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain compliance documentation
- Partner with the building's mentor SLP on caseload management and best practices
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state licensure/certification as an SLP (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- School-based experience preferred; new grads with strong clinical fieldwork considered
- Ability to pass fingerprinting/background check required for district clearance
