Schedule: Monday–Thursday (4-day week) with occasional Fridays
Hours: 7:45 AM – 4:45 PM (40 hours/week)

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLP-A) to join a highly supportive school district in Terrell, TX. This role offers a unique 4-day work week, a manageable caseload, and the opportunity to work within a strong, team-oriented special education environment.
This position is based on an elementary campus and includes support for self-contained classrooms, making it ideal for candidates with a passion for working with students who have more complex communication needs.
Caseload & Responsibilities

Caseload of approximately 60 elementary students

Provide direct therapy services under the supervision of a licensed SLP

Serve 4 self-contained classrooms, including:

Life Skills
-
Autism (AU) classrooms
-

Support students with moderate to significant communication needs, including predominantly nonverbal learners
-
Utilize and support AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices in therapy and classroom settings

Collect data and maintain accurate documentation using Frontline
-
Collaborate closely with teachers, paraprofessionals, and the supervising SLP
-
Support carryover of communication strategies across settings

Qualifications
-
Active Texas SLP-A license
-
Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field

Experience with AAC devices highly preferred
-
Experience in self-contained, life skills, or autism classrooms strongly desired

Strong organizational and communication skills
